The University of Nairobi and the University of Copenhagen recently received a grant from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark within the Danida Fellowship Centre framework for the project entitled: “Improving milk and chicken meat quality and safety in the Kenyan food sector (QUALIFOOD)”.
The research and training programme in Medical and Environmental Anthropology for East Africa in the 21st-century (AnthEM) is looking for candidates for fully-funded 2-year MA scholarships in social anthropology.

The Department of Anthropology, Gender and African Studies within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of Nairobi, held the 5th Conference on the Status of African Women during the 5th UoN Research Week. This year's theme: Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Changing World of Work and Entrepreneurship During and After COVID-19.
The faculty of arts and social sciences was recognized during the performance and contracting awards through its various departments and the staff who work under it. This recognition was made to both teaching and non-teaching staff who have been exemplary in their performances.
