Conference  2019 in Vancouver, energized for their talk to answer

the question why  gender equality matters in Agriculture.

Prof. Salome Bukachi attended a three-day global conference on gender equality and wellbeing

of women. It was held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Over 6,000 delegates

including world leaders attended the conference whose focus was   exploring lasting solutions

to challenges faced by women. From keynotes to social enterprise pitches, workshops to film

festivals, there were countless opportunities to engage, gather inspiration, and build a more

gender equal world.

 

Agnes Loriba Salomé Bukachi and Julie Ndwiga spoke about addressing underlying

gender and social/cultural norms in crop and livestock production at the Women

Deliver 2019 IDRC_CRDI booth.
