The Institute of Anthropology, Gender and African Studies (UoN) in conjunction with UNFPA, UNHCR, UNICEF successfully conducted a 2 weeks certificate course on Gender Based Violence in Emergencies (GBViE).

 

 The course aimed at increasing capacity of humanitarian workers to work in GBViE Prevention & Response Programmes.

 The course run for two weeks beginning on 7th September 2015 at the Main Campus University  of Nairobi and ended on 18th September 2015.

 

The participants were issued with certificates at an event graced by UNFPA Representative in Kenya, Siddharth Chaatterjee , Deputy Principal College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prof Kobonyo Peter, IAGAS Director, Dr Charles Olungah, Senior Assistant Registrar, Ms Judith Obam, and academic and administrative staff members of the institute.
